Medical Endorsement (ME) Requirements:

1. Education and Training:

•    Allopathic US Medical School Graduate: One year of approved residency training.
•    Allopathic IMG: ECFMG certificate and two years of approved residency training.

2. National Examination:

• Passed all parts of NBME, FLEX, or USMLE.

Area of Critical Need (ACN) Requirements:

1. Licensing:

• Must hold a valid U.S. license.

2. Verification:

• Puerto Rico licenses: Our manager will contact you.
• Other states: Direct verification will be requested.

3. Practice Limits:

• Restricted to approved facilities in critical-need Florida communities.

4. Databank Report:

• Obtain a new report from www.npdb.hrsa.gov 
• Send the report to us after completion.

ME by Examination Requirements:

1. Education and Training:

• Allopathic US Medical School Graduate
• One year of approved residency training.
• Allopathic IMG Graduate: ECFMG certificate: www.ecfmg.org.
• Two years of approved residency training.

2. National Examination:

• Passed NBME, FLEX, or USMLE: www.fsmb.org.

3. Licensure in Another Jurisdiction:

• Practiced medicine for at least two of the last four years.
• OR passed a clinical competency exam within the past year.
• OR completed a postgraduate training program within the past two years.
• Licensure verification required.

4. Additional Requirements (Costs added to final invoice):

• Databank Report: Request from www.npdb.hrsa.gov ($5.00).
• Fingerprinting: Schedule at www.fieldprintflorida.com ($79.00). Provide TCL# after fingerprinting.

Fingerprinting for Background check

• You must request an appointment for fingerprinting by accessing: www.fieldprintflorida.com
• When asked for the purpose of your fingerprint request, please select: 

Florida Dept. of Health – Division of Medical Quality (MQA) ORI # EDOH2014Z – Physician/Medical Doctor.

• The approximate cost is $79.00, and payments can be made with a credit card. 
• Once your fingerprints are taken, it's important to request the TCL# and send it to us; this will prevent delays.

3. Alternative Pathways:

• Licensed in another jurisdiction and actively practiced for at least two of the last four years.
• OR passed a clinical competency exam within the past year.
• OR completed a board-approved postgraduate training program within two years preceding the application.

4. Licensure verification:

• Puerto Rico licenses: Our manager will contact you.
• Other states: Direct verification will be requested.

1. Valid License:

• Maintain a valid license from another U.S. state or territory.
• Verify at https://www.veridoc.org/index.aspx.

2. Clean Record:

• No ongoing investigations or disciplinary actions in the last five years.

3. Registered Agent:

• Designate a registered agent for service of process in Florida.

4. Liability Coverage:

• Maintain coverage meeting or exceeding Florida's telehealth practitioner requirements.

5. No Physical Presence:

• No opening of an office or provision of in-person healthcare services in Florida.

6. Pharmacy Requirement (Pharmacists):

• Use a Florida-licensed pharmacy for dispensing drugs to Florida patients.

1. Education:

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program.

2. Certification:

• Pass the NCCPA proficiency examination.

3. NCCPA Certificate:

• Hold a current NCCPA certificate; retake if necessary.

Drug Enforcement Administration:

• For providers who prescribe controlled substances, we can complete the DEA registration process on your behalf whether you are registering for the first time, renewing or planning a move to another state.

4. Temporary License:

• Available for recent graduates until NCCPA examination results received.

5. Limits on Temporary Licenses:

• Maximum of two temporary licenses.

6. Remedial Education:

• If five or more NCCPA exam attempts fail, additional remedial education may be required.

7. PANCE Completion Requirement:

• If not passing NCCPA exam within five attempts and not practicing as a fully licensed physician assistant, complete a three-month review course at an approved program.
