The Managed Care Fundamentals Program | 2026 Edition
PROGRAM TERMS & DISCLAIMER
Welcome to The Managed Care Fundamentals Program. We’re glad you’re here. Before you begin, please take a few minutes to read these terms. They explain what you can expect from the program, what we ask of you, and how it all works.
1. What This Program Is
The Managed Care Fundamentals Program is a self-paced educational course created by PPS Consulting Group to help physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants understand U.S. managed care, Medicare Advantage, Florida Medicaid, HEDIS, risk adjustment, and how primary care works in the Florida market.
It is a professional preparation tool, useful for interview readiness, day-one job performance, and overall confidence working in managed care environments. It is not medical, legal, billing, or compliance advice. PPS Consulting Group is a healthcare consulting firm; we are not a clinical entity, a law firm, or a billing service. Any clinical, billing, coding, or compliance decision in your practice should be made by you using your professional judgment, in consultation with your organization’s compliance officer, qualified counsel, and current health plan or regulatory guidance.
2. About the Certificate
When you successfully complete both assessments (Level 1 with at least 77% and Level 2 with at least 80%), you receive a Certificate of Completion issued by PPS Consulting Group.
What this certificate is:
- Recognition that you studied the program materials and passed our knowledge assessments.
- Useful as a professional development credential on your CV, LinkedIn, or in interviews.
- Permanent. It does not expire.
What this certificate is not:
- It is not CME (Continuing Medical Education). PPS Consulting Group is not an ACCME-accredited provider, and this program does not award CME credits or count toward licensure renewal.
- It is not a medical license, board certification, or any official credential issued by a regulatory body.
- It is not a guarantee of employment, hiring, or any specific career outcome.
3. Your License to Use the Program
When you purchase access, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, individual-use-only license to use the program materials for your own professional development. This license cannot be shared, transferred, gifted, resold, or assigned to any other person under any circumstances. Sharing your login credentials, account access, or program materials with another person, including a colleague, friend, or family member, is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
You may:
- Study and use all materials at your own pace.
- Take and retake the assessments until you pass.
- Display your Certificate of Completion publicly (CV, LinkedIn, professional profiles).
- Apply what you learn in your own practice using your professional judgment.
You may not:
- Share, copy, distribute, post, or resell the program materials, in whole or in part, with any other person, including colleagues, friends, or family.
- Use the materials to create competing courses, training programs, or derivative content.
- Use the materials for group training, classroom instruction, hospital orientation, or any commercial training purpose without a separate written license from PPS.
- Remove or alter any copyright notice, branding, or proprietary marking.
📋 For organizations: This license is for individual use. Clinics, MSOs, IPAs, hospitals, and other organizations that wish to use this program for multiple users should contact us for corporate licensing. These services are offered separately and under different terms.
4. Refunds and Access
Because this is a digital program with immediate access to all materials, all sales are final once you log in and access any portion of the course. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, dissatisfaction with content, failure to complete the program, or failure to pass the assessments.
If a verifiable technical issue prevents you from accessing the program, contact us first and we will work with you to fix it. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in immediate termination of access and forfeiture of any certificate issued.
Your access to the platform is valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. The program is designed to be completed in 4 to 6 weeks with a reasonable study pace, so six months gives you generous time to finish. After your access ends, your certificate (if earned) remains valid forever, but you will lose access to the online materials. Updated editions of the program are separate products.
5. Honest Expectations and Your Responsibility
We’ve designed this program carefully and we’re proud of it. But we want to be honest with you about what it can and cannot do.
What we believe it does well:
- Helps you understand the language and logic of U.S. managed care.
- Prepares you to speak confidently in interviews about HEDIS, RAF, capitation, prior authorization, and Star Ratings.
- Gives you a foundation to perform better from day one in a managed care environment.
What we cannot guarantee:
- That you will get a job. Hiring depends on many factors outside our control.
- That every concept remains current after publication. Healthcare regulations, CMS rules, AHCA policies, HEDIS measures, and health plan offerings change frequently. The 2026 Edition reflects what we understood at the time of publication.
- Specific clinical, financial, or career outcomes.
What we ask of you:
- Verify current regulations, plan policies, and clinical guidelines through official sources before applying any concept in your practice.
- Use your own professional judgment in any clinical, billing, coding, or compliance decision.
- Understand that this program prepares you. It does not replace your training, your license, or the guidance of qualified professionals in your specific situation.
Limited Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total responsibility to you for anything related to this program is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost income, missed opportunities, regulatory penalties, or any decisions you make in your practice based on the program content.
6. Contact & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts of Orange County, Florida.
If you have questions about the program or these terms:
